Why Airtightness Matters
Conducting a Blower Door Test will determine how many Air Changes per Hour (ACH) occur when the envelope is pressurised to 60psi. An 'air change' is a measure of the internal air volume of the envelope being fully replaced by incoming air. The lower the ACH, the more airtight the envelope is and the less energy is required to condition the internal environment to maintain thermal comfort.
A well-sealed home is the foundation of a truly comfortable, healthy and energy-efficient home.
